Sam Tooker
Bio
Sam Tooker has lived in Greenville since 2002 and has been practicing law in South Carolina since 2009. His current practice focuses primarily in the areas of Criminal Defense, Personal Injury, Civil Litigation, Business Collections, and Construction Litigation, including Mechanic’s Liens. Prior to working for David R. Price, Jr., P.A., Sam spent five and a half years in the 13th Circuit Solicitor’s Office as a prosecutor in Pickens County.

Sam is an effective and seasoned trial attorney. He has tried over forty cases before a jury in circuit court, and his trial work has consisted of everything from simple half-day cases to week-long, factually difficult, and legally complex actions.
During his time in the Solicitor’s Office, Sam spear-headed domestic violence prosecutions in Pickens County and served as Pickens’ “Violent Crimes Prosecutor.” In that role, he tried numerous criminal sexual conduct, drug trafficking, armed robbery, burglary, domestic violence, and assault and battery cases. He managed a docket of cases that included everything from misdemeanor domestic violence charges to warrants for manslaughter and murder.
Sam came to Greenville in 2002 to attend Furman University where he majored in history and was inducted in to the Phi Alpha Theta history honor society. In addition to his studies, he produced content for Furman’s closed-circuit television network and served on the university’s student activities board.
He then attended the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he was an editorial board member of the American Bar Association’s Real Property, Probate, and Trust Law Journal and was inducted into the Phi Delta Phi legal honor society.
Sam is married to April, a fellow Furman graduate and associate head coach of Furman’s women’s soccer team, and they like to spend their free time running, hiking, and playing with their three young children.
